Everything is possible
-ANTHEA
Many regard age as a limitation, but by taking that first step, finding the right coach, and using the right methods, progress is always within reach.
Runner Antheac started learning to run in 2021. During training, she suffered a stress fracture from overtraining, yet by 2023, she became the Standard Chartered Half Marathon champion (1:31). In 2024, she ran the Korea Marathon in 3:07—a testament to her perseverance. Now, after 4 years of training with MK, this everyday athlete has shattered her personal best at the 2025 Tokyo Marathon (2:57:10), beating her 2024 Seoul Marathon time by 10 minutes and clocking the fastest Hong Kong women’s time in the race. Proof that limits are just challenges waiting to be broken.
Runner Fung's Comeback Story
-FUNG
I was once a passionate track athlete, but in May 2023, excruciating Achilles tendon pain left me unable to run—only walk. As my activity plummeted, so did my fitness: by April, I weighed 81.3kg with 24% body fat, a state I couldn’t accept anymore.
That’s when I sought help through HNR.team, leading me to MK Health and Performance. Under physiotherapist Franky’s care, I was pain-free and jogging again within a month! Then, Coach Davy took over, crafting a plan blending strength training, controlled running, and nutrition.
The results stunned me: - 11.3kg lost in 3 months - Body fat dropped to 15.3% Entering Phase 2—muscle building—I prepped for "fun runs" with renewed confidence. By October, I podiumed (3rd place!) in the Mizuno Run 3K, clocking sub-4 pace. Then in December, I smashed my half-marathon goal with 1:47 (target: sub-1:50). Grateful to Coach Davy, Franky, and MK for helping me reclaim the joy of running—and proving comebacks are possible.
It's Never Too Late
-KEITH
With a time of 3:37:50 (London Marathon 2024), runner Keith achieved what seemed impossible after failing to break 4 hours in his previous two marathons. Through an introduction from HNR running club and friends, he joined our specialized strength and running form training program for runners.
After just 7 training sessions, Keith showed remarkable physical improvements - significant gains in muscle mass and strength, along with refined running form that made his training more efficient and effortless than before. Looking forward to even greater achievements in the next race!
Smart Training Unlocks Potential
-KEN
Personalized, targeted strength training has driven continuous improvement in my running over the past three years, including four consecutive sub-3 marathons from 2022 to 2024 and a 3rd place finish in the 2023 Run Our City 10K.
Since joining the center’s runner-specific strength training program, has seen clear improvements in my physical conditioning, including increased muscle mass and strength. Additionally, plyometric training has allowed me to run more efficiently, with greater power and less fatigue than before. Proof that smart training unlocks potential.
I firmly believe MK Performance will remain an essential provider of my strength training moving forward, and I look forward to achieving strong results in 2025 - including breaking 2:50 at the Fukui Marathon.
NELSON
It all started when a friend introduced me to MK - I originally sought help for my long-standing flat feet issue. But as we worked together, MK’s guidance and encouragement gave me the confidence to challenge myself in long-distance running again
From adjusting my diet to gradually building endurance, then setting short- and long-term goals, MK never rushed the process. In fact, the most frequent advice was: "Don’t push too hard—you don’t need to run that much yet." Over time, I felt the changes—both in physical conditioning and running performance. Step by step, I regained my strength and finally dared to chase a **PB I hadn’t touched in years.
After completing an unprecedented long training block, I achieved my sub-3 goal at the Seville Marathon. I’m grateful to have found a coach who truly understands my pace—helping me progress without unnecessary detours. Looking forward to tackling the next target together, rain or shine. Some goals take time. The right coach makes every mile worth it.
SAMMY
A year ago, Sammy clocked an impressive 3:11 at the Chicago Marathon. Just six months later, she shattered her personal best with 3:07 in London—proof that her training approach works. Many runners chase breakthroughs by relentlessly increasing mileage and intensity, only to face injuries like plantar fasciitis or knee pain before race day.
Sammy and I have worked together for two years, overcoming past injuries through smart preparation. We carefully plan each race’s training cycle, gradually increasing volume and intensity while building strength and power. The progression speaks for itself: - March 2023: 3:25 (Nagoya debut) - October 2024: 3:11 (Chicago) - April 2025: 3:07 (London)
As a fellow athlete, I understand the hunger for constant improvement. But true progress demands patience—the very quality marathon running teaches us. Success belongs to those who master the long game. Marathons aren’t won in a day. They’re built over years.
Hong Kong Rope Skipping Athlete Training
